To share, promote and preserve the heritage of Dowlish Wake and its character, a none commercial community project.  A public platform for others to enjoy and be part of. To continue to build a collection of photographs, memories, stories and knowledge of yesteryear from villagers past and present. This together with researching documents, newspaper articles and local archives.

This website, Dowlish Wake Heritage is a non-profit website, it is privately owned and a gift to the Village of Dowlish Wake.  It has been designed, created and is maintained at no cost by villagers of Dowlish Wake which lies within the parish of Somerset.   Run by volunteers, the content is from many sources, including donated material from previous and current villagers.  It is presented, therefore ‘As is’ and is published in good faith.  If you notice any errors or omissions or have knowledge that would update any of the articles, please contact the webmaster.

For those tracing their family history, we recommend that you consider this website as a finding aid, and while great care is taken to verify content and resources, you should always refer to the original archived document in record offices and the like.

We are happy to share the content for non-commercial use but ask that you acknowledge our website as your source; [] This website is a new project and a big learning curve so please excuse hiccups while we evolve.   We hope you enjoy your visit.
